2. What data we process
2.1 Visiting this website (server log files)
When you open this website, your browser automatically transmits certain technical information to our hosting provider's server, which may store it in server log files: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the page you came from (referrer), and details about your browser and operating system. This data is processed solely to deliver the website reliably and securely and to diagnose faults. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Our hosting provider is Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, which serves this website via its global content delivery network. As Netlify is based in the USA, delivering the site may involve transferring the technical data described above to a third country outside the EU/EEA.
2.2 Web fonts (Google Fonts)
This site uses the typefaces “Playfair Display” and “Spectral”, which are loaded from Google's servers when the page is displayed. As a result, your browser connects to Google and your IP address is transmitted to Google. Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a consistent, appealing presentation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). For more information see the Google Privacy Policy.
2.3 Contacting us by email
If you contact us by email — for example via the email link on this site — we process the data you send us (such as your name, email address and the content of your message) solely in order to handle your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) and/or our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep this data only for as long as necessary to deal with your request, unless statutory retention periods apply.
3. Legal bases
Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data on the basis of, in particular: Art. 6(1)(b) (contract and pre-contractual steps), Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interests), Art. 6(1)(c) (compliance with a legal obligation) and Art. 6(1)(a) (consent, where you have given it). In Switzerland, processing is governed by the Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP).
4. International data transfers
Loading the web fonts described above may involve transferring data to Google in countries outside Switzerland and the EU/EEA, including the USA. Such transfers are based on the European Commission's adequacy decisions and/or on standard contractual clauses that ensure an adequate level of data protection.
5. Your rights
Under applicable data protection law you have the right to information about the personal data we hold about you, and the rights to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing. Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at coaching@barbaramieg.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Switzerland this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); within the EU, the data protection authority of your country of residence.
6. Data security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. This website is delivered exclusively over an encrypted connection (SSL/TLS, recognisable by “https://” and the padlock in your browser). Please note that no transmission of data over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes to the website or to legal requirements. The current version published on this page applies.
